Immobilization and continuous recycling of photoredox catalysts in ionic liquids for applications in batch reactions and flow systems: catalytic alkene isomerization by using visible light.
A catalytic (E)- to (Z)-isomerization of olefins using a photoredox catalyst under mild reaction conditions is presented. A variety of (Z)-alkenes can be prepared in the presence of visible light. A new reaction system allows an easy and efficient scale-up, as well as a continuous flow process in which the photocatalyst is immobilized in an ionic liquid and continuously recycled by simple phase...
متن کاملBatch to flow deoxygenation using visible light photoredox catalysis.
Herein we report a one-pot deoxygenation protocol for primary and secondary alcohols developed via the combination of the Garegg-Samuelsson reaction, visible light-photoredox catalysis, and flow chemistry. This procedure is characterized by mild reaction conditions, easy-to-handle reactants and reagents, excellent functional group tolerance, and good yields.
متن کاملMicrowave-assisted Suzuki coupling reactions with an encapsulated palladium catalyst for batch and continuous-flow transformations.
This article describes the design, optimisation and development of a Suzuki cross-coupling protocol mediated by an efficient palladium-encapsulated catalyst (Pd EnCat) under microwave irradiation. The methodology has been used in both batch mode for classical library preparation and in continuous-flow applications furnishing multigram quantities of material. Described is a method that uses dire...
متن کاملAsymmetric reactions in continuous flow
An overview of asymmetric synthesis in continuous flow and microreactors is presented in this review. Applications of homogeneous and heterogeneous asymmetric catalysis as well as biocatalysis in flow are discussed.
متن کاملDiels–Alder reactions of myrcene using intensified continuous-flow reactors
This work describes the Diels-Alder reaction of the naturally occurring substituted butadiene, myrcene, with a range of different naturally occurring and synthetic dienophiles. The synthesis of the Diels-Alder adduct from myrcene and acrylic acid, containing surfactant properties, was scaled-up in a plate-type continuous-flow reactor with a volume of 105 mL to a throughput of 2.79 kg of the fin...
